Bed & Breakfasts

Chosen for their desirable locations and local character, bed and breakfasts and guesthouses provide a relaxed and welcoming place to stay.

Rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, and meals often highlight regional flavours and homemade touches. Hospitality is personal and friendly, offering a warm reception at the end of each day’s adventure.

Camping

On many of our North America adventures, you camp in carefully chosen wilderness locations that bring you closer to forests, mountains and open landscapes.

You sleep in spacious two person tents, most with standing height, good ventilation and insect mesh for comfort. A dedicated dining setup is provided, along with a portable toilet tent where permanent facilities are not available or would be inappropriate for the environment.

This style of travel keeps you immersed in the landscape while maintaining a practical, low impact and well organised camp experience.

Mountain huts

On backcountry trails, mountaineering routes and glacier traverses across North America, accommodation is often in remote mountain huts positioned deep in alpine terrain.

Facilities are typically simple yet comfortable, reflecting the rugged environments in which they are located. Sleeping arrangements are sometimes dormitory style, in keeping with traditional mountain culture and the shared spirit of high country travel.
