Explore the magnificent scenery of northern Spitsbergen
A voyage to the pristine, ice‐covered Svalbard archipelago during the Arctic spring offers excellent possibilities to spot polar bears, walrus, seals and seabirds, with the snowy remnants of the cool winter months adding magic to the already magnificent scenery. Following a flexible itinerary based on weather and sea ice conditions, we’ll see the towering icebergs, vast tundra and expansive fjords of North Spitsbergen, aiming to stop at places such as Alkhornet ‐ where seabirds scout their breeding sites along the steep cliffs, as well as intriguing historic sites and the world’s most northerly community.
BRIEF ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Embark Longyearbyen 2 | Trygghamna and Alkhornet 3/4 | Kongsfjord and Ny Ålesund 5 | Poolepynten 6/7 | Ymerbukta and Gipsvika deep inside Isfjorden 8 | Disembark Longyearbyen where trip concludes
