JAVIER is one of the most experienced guides in the Andes having worked as a professional trek and tour guide for more than 30 years. He specialises in our longer high altitude treks
of which his favourite is the superb Huayhuash Circuit in Peru. His knowledge of the mountains is astounding and this combined his prowess for the cultural and natural history of Peru, make him the perfect guide for many of our Peru adventures.
SOREN has been a stalwart in the development of the World Expeditions’ mountaineering program in the Himalaya, Central Asia and South America. While guiding many of the lesser known peaks is his niche, Soren often nds himself, on his own personal expeditions, forging ahead as a respected mountaineer on the global scene. Soren coordinates our technical guide mountaineering course in Nepal’s Rolwaling area
and leads our San Valentin expedition in Patagonia.
SIMON is a leading mountaineer with pioneering rst ascents in the Andes, Himalaya and Karakorum. Best known Joe Simpson’s partner in Touching the
Void, Simon has developed
a reputation as an engaging expedition leader with a passion for the mountains
of Central Asia. Among others, Simon has led our Peak Lenin, Aconcagua, Damodar Saribung Traverse and Summits of Bolivia expeditions.
