GREAT MEALS
Central Asian and Middle Eastern meals are simple, hearty and full of flavour. Being part of the Silk Road, many herbs and spices are used and slow cooked meats, fresh tomatoes and melons feature prominently in the cuisine. Even when trekking, you will not be short of delicious meals.
In places such as Tajikistan where large distances are covered over rough terrain, you’ll be travelling in 4WD vehicles.  ese are sturdy working vehicles providing relative comfort for travellers with drivers that are experienced in navigating the vehicles in this rough terrain and hard conditions.
When trekking in Central Asia, you’ll enjoy fully supported camping with quality two person tents will be erected in wilderness settings. Crew look after all logistics allowing you time to relax.  ere is a dining and toilet tent and impact on the environment is kept to a minimum.
On a handful of itineraries you’ll be accommodated in homestays.  is is where a local family opens their home providing a wonderful insight into the local culture, cuisine and lifestyle. Simple but clean and comfortable with communal lodgings and shared bathrooms but warm and welcoming hosts.
