OUR INITIATIVES AND OUR PARTNERS IN SUSTAINABLE AND RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL
 100%
ALL TRIPS
CARBON OFFSET
          ALL TRIPS 100% CARBON OFFSET
The land arrangements on all our trips is 100% carbon offset, supporting renewable energy and reforestation projects across the world. You can take this a step further by offsetting 1 tonne (AUD$15.00) of your air travel carbon emissions when you book your air travel with us.
MOUNTAIN PORTER WELFARE
On a trek or climb, the entire group - travellers, guides and porters alike – are a team who share the same needs for safety in the mountain environment. Our Porter Welfare Code of Conduct aims to ensure the safe working conditions for mountain porters in Nepal, Bhutan, Peru, Tanzania, Kenya and Papua New Guinea.
SINGLE USE PLASTIC PLEDGE
Throughout 2020,
we pledge to work towards removing single use plastic water bottles from our trips. You can help by not packing single use plastics in your luggage and ensuring you do pack a reusable water bottle that can be refilled with potable water on your trip.
TREADING LIGHTLY REMOVING LITTER
Harnessing our trekkers' collective power we’re actively cleaning up wilderness – picking up 10 pieces of litter
a day. We provide
a collection bag and our crew dispose of the litter responsibly.
We base our treks on minimal impact and adhere to Leave No Trace's Seven Principles
TRAVEL PROMOTES PEACE
Travel is a conduit for peace; it enables cultural exchange, fosters understanding and closes divides. We encourage travellers to
read the Credo produced by the International Institute of the Peaceful Traveller.
