 our ships
Our voyages to the heart of the spectacular natural environments of the Polar Regions are onboard specially designed expedition ships.
Most of the fleet were initially built as ice strengthened research vessels, and thus ideal for polar exploration. Their strength, manoeuvrability and small to medium size (50 –198 passengers) enables us to take you to areas that large cruise ships can't reach. Accommodation is comfortable and most cabins have outside windows or portholes, many also with attached private bathrooms. Each has a cosy bar, a lounge, lecture theatre area and a library with a good range of reference books. There is a clinic and an expedition doctor on board. All ships are fitted with GPS radio equipment to link to the mainland. Weather permitting, bridges are open to passengers and the decks are ideal for viewing. And the mood on board is relaxed and casual!
all of our vessels are a very comfortable size, to allow smooth and safe passage but still small enough to let you feel close to this stunning environment
