 HIMALAYA
NAMASTE [WELCOME]
Connecting with the Himalaya and its people is an experience like no other!
We’re proud of our long heritage in the Himalaya, working alongside mountaineering greats such as Tim Macartney-Snape, John Muir, Simon Yates, Andrew Lock, Rebecca Stephens and acclaimed explorers such as Garry Weare, Sorrel Wilby and Jono Lineen. We’re equally proud of our local crews made up of local guides, porters, cooks, drivers and camp hands who are passionate individuals dedicated to making your holiday as safe, comfortable and fun as possible.
Trekking is a hugely rewarding way to experience the Himalaya; to immerse in the mountain terrains that are dotted with rural villages full of friendly communities. You will be challenged and exhilarated. Each day your fitness builds and before long, you’ll be in your groove and revelling in the spectacular natural environments and charming villages with the camaraderie of your fellow trekkers and our fantastic crew.
Our adventures are a meaningful way to rediscover your role in the environment and how protecting it can be a life-changing experience. Each trip is underpinned by responsible practice at every level, including wilderness first aid training for our guides, managing waste, avoiding depletion of natural resources and respecting local culture. By not outsourcing our treks and tours to third parties we’re able to achieve these aims while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene and value. Together with our staff and the local communities, you’re signing on to a special collective that forges a deep sense of custodianship of the Himalaya and its people and doing it responsibly.
There are so many ways to personalise your Himalayan experience – by climbing mountains, cycling across the Tibetan Plateau, exploring local festivals or getting involved in a community project where part of your adventure can make a meaningful difference to an underprivileged community. Whatever your interests, our experienced and well-travelled team is here to help you get the most out of your Himalayan adventure. We look forward to taking you on the paths less travelled.
