ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Walk from Chamonix Valley to Trient in Switzerland (6hrs) 2 | Trient to Champex (6hrs) 3 | Transfer to Ferret, ascend the Grand Col Ferret path into Italy (6hrs) 4 | Traverse the Mont de la Saxe to Refuge Bertone 5 | Walk to Courmayeur, ascend the Checroui Pass (1956m) and traverse the Val Veni with stunning views to Mont Blanc and glaciers (6hrs) 6 | Over the Seigne mountain path into France (7hrs) 7 | Cross the Contamines Natural Reserve to Contamines (5hrs), trip concludes
INCLUSIONS: MEALS: 6 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 6 dinners ACCOMMODATION: 6 nights in mountain refuges/gîte‐hostels in dormitories (upgrade to 1 night quad room, 5 nights double room ‐ surcharge applies) GUIDES: International Mountain Guide BACKUP & SUPPORT: luggage transfer by mules (max 7kgs, early and late season departures use luggage van) TRANSPORT: group internal transfer by public bus
NOTES: Early and late season departures may require itinerary alterations due to snow conditions. Departures from July to mid September will be organised according to accommodation options ‐ dorm or rooms. If you plan to travel with friends during this period and elect different accommodation options, you will not be in the same group and the overnight stops will differ. This itinerary may also operate in reverse or with different overnight stops ‐ it should be seen as a guide only. Hours indicated do not include rest stops.
